This modern architecture custom home completed by UBACK Construction in 2018 features a large concrete dock on 75 feet of waterfront property, a modern glass enclosed elevator surrounded by an open-riser oak wood tread staircase with glass handrails, large format porcelain tile, and bamboo wood flooring. The home is also equipped with 65 solar panels on the roof which produce enough energy during the day to power the entire house off the electrical grid.

Jared Utterback

Jared has been the lead and an integral part of building many customized homes, parking garages, steel structures, schools, and other multi-million dollar projects in his 20 years in the construction industry.  He is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified, and dedicated to sustainable construction with a focus on green building solutions as a custom home builder.  Jared’s experience and expertise have given him extensive knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements to build in South Florida.  Jared is a graduate of the University of Florida with dual degrees in Building Construction and Economics, and is a Florida Certified Building Contractor.

Tom Utterback

Tom has been rooted in the construction industry for over 40 years.  Since locating to South Florida in 1969 he has been working to improve many aspects of our industry. He has membership on numerous trade boards including the governing body that regulates the Florida Building Code.  Tom started  a successful insulation contracting business in 1975 that became one of the largest in Florida.  He has received many awards and recognitions as an expert in our field including the honor as RSI Insulation Contractor of the Year in 2001.  Tom continues to advise on construction industry subject matters from energy efficiency to code enforcement.

The combined backgrounds that make up UBACK are well suited to provide value engineering for all aspects of each project including architectural details, high end finishes and green building solutions.  Our team of quality subcontractors and trade partners are committed to delivering custom homes with distinction and UBACK established standards.
